PROBUS Club Set to Start in Fenelon (Sept. 2017)

“GET CONNECTED – STAY CONNECTED”

The community of Fenelon Falls has overwhelmingly expressed interest in forming a PROBUS club. Organizer Robert Pennock has heard from close to 100 Fenelon Falls residents that they would be interesting in attending a monthly social gathering in Fenelon under the PROBUS banner. What is PROBUS? Retirement can come too early for many people who want and are able to remain active. Probus clubs are organizations for men and women who have retired from their profession or business and want to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests. Probus clubs were first formed, as an acronym for Pro(fessional) and Bus(iness), in the early 1920’s in Saskatchewan, CANADA, and in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.

Come to an information meeting on September 18th: The Probus Club of Lindsay has arranged a special meeting at the St. James Anglican Church on September 18th at 10AM to discuss forming the Probus Club of Fenelon Falls. Come out with your friends and hear about this great opportunity.
